Frequently asked questions
How often and how long do we meet?
We will schedule our meetings and frequency based on your needs and wants. Sessions can range from weekly to bi-weekly to monthly. Individual sessions are typically 45 minutes however session times can be adjusted based on discussion with me.
How long does therapy take?
The answer to this will be unique to you! Each person’s journey in therapy is different and the time can range depending on your goals, needs, and challenges. We work together at your pace to achieve your therapeutic goals and learn how to apply these skills in your daily life. Therapy is something that may be needed off and on in your life journey and as I say, "come in for your booster shot," when you need or when there is a bump in the road with life stressors or transitions.
Do you take insurance?
I accept cash payments via Square using credit cards bearing Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover.
How do I book an appointment?
Please reach out to me directly here. I look forward to hearing from you; however, if this is a life-threatening emergency please contact 911 or call your local Hospital.
No Show/Late Cancellation Policy
I value your time and mine. There is a strict no show/late cancellation policy. Clients are charged a $85.00 late cancellation fee for any missed session or session not canceled at least 24 hours in advance from the time of your scheduled appointment.
Are services confidential?
The confidentiality of all communications between a client and a therapist is protected by law. Aside from certain specific situations, a psychotherapist cannot tell anyone what you have discussed in therapy or even that you are in therapy without permission. Release of information is required if you desire me to share information. The exceptions are related to safety issues such as harm to self, others, gravely disabled, or mandatory reports of abuse and neglect.
Do you offer sliding scale fees?
Please let me know if you have trouble paying for therapy. I may be able to offer a lower rate on an individual basis that allows you to receive services. This option is available for clients who are committed to therapy and improving their lives.
