My specialties include children, adolescents, grief, loss, abuse and neglect, and trauma. I developed a trauma informed mental health program for youth with complex trauma for a non-profit agency and five differential residential facilities acquiring state approval, Medi-Cal contract with county, and all policies and procedures.
I have 14 years of experience providing clinical supervision to AMFT, ACSW, AND APCC. I have a strong track record of therapists passing their clinical exams to get licensed. I benefitted from wonderful clinical supervisors and mentors myself and believe in giving back to the next generation of clinical professionals. I have years of experience providing consultations for criminal defense attorneys, non-profits and clinical professionals. I have assisted with writing mental health programs, policies, and procedures for DHCS Approval. I have experience with Silicon Valley Start-Up cross collaborating with computer engineers to create digital platforms to serve clients. Experiences serving marginalized populations including unaccompanied minors with the Office of Refugee Resettlement from all over the world, and underserved areas and populations.
I have completed Basic EMDR Training, CARF Surveyor Training, and utilize DBT, CBT, Mindfulness, Narrative, Gestalt, Solution Focused and Motivational Interviewing. I have extensive training in trauma informed practices and am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional.
I believe professionals need therapy too. Mental health is just as important as physical health, and we all play a part in reducing stigma against mental health in our society. I lost my sister to suicide in 2005 and have a passion for reducing suicide attempts, completions, and increasing support to survivors left behind. I have volunteered on the Riverside County Coalition for Suicide Prevention, as well as American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
